As a landscape artist Herefordshire holds all the elements for me: hills and valleys, ancient trees, red soil, and constantly changing weather. Using my sketches and a combination of mediums I reference the terrain, capturing the energy and volume of the ever-changing rural environment. EIGHT PICS CHALLENGE
For this year's festival, Kathryn has devised a fun alternative to the Eight Peak's Challenge! She has painted 8 landscapes from various points around Hergest Ridge and is challenging you to find out where she was standing when she painted them. All you have to do is take a photograph from that position to match the painting, obtain the grid reference and email your answers to win a £50 prize. Click here for full details:
