Marches Makers Festival Artist 2021
Andrew Eastwood
Andrew Eastwood taught engineering at university level for 20 years, then took early retirement so that he could develop his long-standing interest in art, graduating with a BA(Hons) Design in ceramics from the Glasgow School of Art in 2006.
Since then, his sculptural work has been included in numerous juried exhibitions and has won awards. Andrew enjoys pushing clay to its technical limits, in creating paper-thin porcelain shapes for assembly into abstract patterns, Japanese-scroll inspired decorative panels, and implausibly thin and translucent vessels.
