Christine Forrester Award

The Christine Forrester Award was created in honour of the Festival’s patron who was also one of the founders.

Christine was a passionate supporter of the arts and she sadly passed away from cancer not long after the festival of 2019.

Sponsored this year by Bob Widdowson, the winner of the £200 prize will be selected from the three main festival exhibitions - Art at No 9,  Three of a Kind, and Heart of the Matter II: Responses to Nature from the Marches.

Congratulations to Tina Walton and her team at Rose Tinted Rags

for winning the Christine Forrester Award at the 2022 Marches Makers Festival

In 2021 the award was sponsored by MidBorder News and the winner of the £200 prize was selected from the artists showing work in the Miniatures exhibition by independent judges Joanne Hilditch, High Sheriff of Herefordshire and Annie Vickerstaff, editor of the MidBorder News.

Congratulations to Duncan White who won the 2021 Christine Forrester Award.
