Apprenticed for five years to Michael Farrar-Bell in the craft of stained glass.
Joined the studio of Patrick Reyntiens and worked as a craftsman on the John Piper designs for the Baptistry window,m Coventry Cathedral, and the windows for Eton College Chapel.
Became Studio Manager during the production of the great lantern tower for the Cathedral of Christ the King, Liverpool.
Attended West of England College of Art as a mature student to study furniture design and interior layout: at this time became interested in photography.
Worked as a freelance designer for approximately nine years, at the same time developing my skills as an amateur photographer.
Gained Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society.
Worked for sixteen years as freelance professional photographer until retirement in 1997.
Moved to Kington in 2004 when, after making many new friends this creative community, was inspired to rekindle my interest in photography.
