Marches Makers Festival Artist 2022
Jackie H Morris and the Lugg Embroiderers
Exhibiting at Birches Farm
This participatory textile project is an exploration and celebration of the heritage of the River Lugg. The Lugg Embroiderers have been meeting for twelve weeks, two groups a week in Leominster Community Centre, one group a week at Rose Tinted Rags in Hereford, and a few distance stitchers working at home but following the blog (https://theluggembroideries.uk/) and also sending in their contributions about The Lugg.
Many new connections have been made and the project is growing, sparking new creative streams amongst the participants. Its research element is exploring how heritage and stitch can work together to create new knowledge.
