Marches Makers Festival Artist 2019
Jane O’Neil
I live and work in Herefordshire as an artist and gallery owner (Cider Barn Gallery, Combe). I trained at Loughborough College of Art and attended Goldsmith's in London. My artwork combines my love of rural life and animals. I live and work on a smallholding where our array of animals is often the inspiration for some of my work.
I am currently working in acrylic and charcoal. I enjoy portraying the personalities of the animals whilst also capturing their characteristics, be it hair, feather, or fur, through colour and texture. I am continually experimenting with mark making and layering of paint to bring each subject to life.
I have an open studio within the Cider Barn Gallery. I take commissions for pet portraits.
