Marches Makers Festival Artist 2019
Judy Weir
I am a water colour artist living in the parish of Titley, near Kington, Herefordshire. I am self-taught and have painted intermittently during my adult life. There have been some long periods when I have been unable to paint, but my love of art has never diminished. Now retired, I resumed my art after a gap of 20 years.
I have been a member of the Worcester Society of Artists and have had paintings on exhibit at Worcester Art Gallery. I am currently a member of Kington Arts Society.
Historically I have always painted landscapes and buildings, but last year I started painting animals and birds with some success. I had a successful exhibition at the Tower House Gallery, Knighton, Powys and my work can be viewed and purchased there.
I paint from home and work predominantly from photographs.
I enjoy trying out different techniques and experimenting with water colours to enhance and improve my work.
