Marches Makers Festival Artist 2019
Pearl Taylor
I have been a feltmaker seven years now but been involved with textiles for much longer. I am a member of Creative Breaks and the International Feltmakers Association, also a qualified teacher currently working on an MA at HCA.
My matriarchal home was in Cwmdu and although I live on the Herefordshire/Welsh borderlands my heart is always in the Celtic Marches
As a full time carer for ten years the concept of memory and locking in moments of constructive existence are emotive, vital for survival and inform my work. I am also interested in pain and visual distraction from chronic pain. My current work involves 3D shapes based on anatomy!
These can be beautiful unbreakable objects to be handled or functional and critically useful Pop Pots ie pots that you pop things into when they don’t have any other home!

I teach in my studio by arrangement.
