Discover a marketplace of artisanal talent at the historic Kington Market Hall, featuring
high-quality work by local designer-makers offering a wide selection of beautiful and practical things
Come and join in these special events and have some fun!



​Demonstrations in the Market Hall in Kington
​

There are 3 special demonstrations over the weekend in the Market Hall where you can watch fine art printmaker Michael J. Hancock demonstrating the use of the printing press to produce beautiful intaglio prints; greenwood craftsman Lewis Goldwater hand carving spoons and turning on a pole lathe and Ambrose Burne a contemporary forged metal artist using his portable forge.  Click on the links below for times and more information.

Community Sea-Side Giant Weaving Frame - using lots of materials, yarns, shells and found objects, help to create a giant weaving depicting all the colours and textures of the sea-side!

The Drawing Room - come and join in by drawing on one of 2 giant tables - one for adults and one for children - lots of materials, pencils, pastels, charcoal and lots of inspiration - this promises to be great fun!

Dee and Gill - Market Stall of alpaca knitwear and guided participation for you to have a go at weaving a friendship bracelet or make a bobble keychain (see the photos below)

Shannon Donovan - Market Stall and pottery demonstration - Shannon will be demonstrating hand-building and assembling a vase which has been impressed with a linoleum cut printing plate.

​The Information Hub

If you see anyone wearing one of these jolly sashes - made by Kathryn Moore - you can stop them and chat and ask questions - these are official Festival stewards and photographers who will be wandering around Kington over the weekend!

During the festival, the Information Hub, located in the Market Hall (next to the Kington Primary School on the map below) will be on hand to help you.  They will have flyers and information sheets, programmes and maps - everything to help you find your way around the festival venues and make sure you don't miss anything!
