Marches Makers Festival Artist 2022
Jason Braham
Exhibiting at No 9 Church Road
I have been making pots since 1972, for thirty-five years alongside a career in teaching. I established my studio is in the Radnorshire Hills in 2003. My inspirations are the country ware of Britain and Europe and the tradition of Leach and Cardew.
My work is made at the wheel and fired in one of two kilns, fuelled by wood and oil. One kiln is used for salt-glazing, a process in which sodium vapour, released when salt is cast into the fireboxes, fluxes the clay surface to form a glaze.
