The Exhibition at No 9 Church Road This year the festival sees Clare Conrad’s ceramic studio open again to the public. In addition, Clare has curated an exhibition of artists’ work to display in the light-filled rooms of her home. Since moving to the house, parts of which are late 19th, and parts 17th century, a programme of renovation and decoration has created a 21st century space that preserves the varied architectural stages of the building and provides an inspirational setting for artworks. For the festival the main rooms and garden will provide an intimate backdrop for the work of some the Marches best known and celebrated artists and makers. Pictured here is the festival chairman Patrick Conrad in the entrance hall of Number 9 with "Captive Pegasus", a sculpture by Rachel Ricketts. |
