My pots are often inspired by the natural world. A sea-polished stone, weathered wood, the cracking of parched earth...what an adventure it is to discover ways to interpret these surfaces in ceramic form.
Using alternative firing methods such as slip-resist raku and the Obvara technique, exciting patterns can be created without using glazes. There will always be new things to explore!
