Marches Makers Festival Artist 2022
Rachel Ricketts RBSA
Exhibiting at No 9 Church Road
and in the Market Hall
I am a self-taught sculptor, trained as a painter and restorer of art and antiquities. Experimentation with materials and new ways of working are a continuous part of my practice and my works frequently combine ceramics, metals, paper, wax, wool and feathers.
Admiration for the diversity and simultaneously the oneness of life comprises the foundation of my inspiration, along with fable, myth and poetry.
Selected commissions are accepted including animal portrait sculpture.
The Gallery at Studio 54, Bridge Street in Kington showcases my work, along with that of other artists. My studios are above and behind the Gallery.
The Lion Street Gallery, Hay on Wye; The RBSA Gallery in Birmingham and Cricket Fine Art, Chelsea and Hungerford, also represent me.
